John Gray Park '28 Library

The John Gray Park '28 Library, situated at the heart of the campus, offers a comfortable environment for study and research. Open stacks on three levels give students ready access to the collection's 50,000 volumes, 6,000 of which are reference materials. Through the KentraNet, Kent's internal website, students may access the library collection and numerous online resources.

The Library is staffed throughout the day and evening. All staff members, whether professional librarians or para-professionals, strive to instill in Kent's students information literacy and critical thinking. Classes are welcome to use the library for resource-based learning or for an introduction to the research process which will culminate in a major term paper.

Friday: 8 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Friends of the Kent School Library

The Friends of the Kent School Library have been active since 1933. The Friends were responsible for the automation of the Library collection in 1992 and members take an active interest in Library programs.

Several endowed funds actively help the Library's growth: the Sandy Campbell-Donald Windham Library Fund, the Braxton Book Fund, the Brodie Family Book Fund, the Furness Memorial Fund and the Elser Memorial Fund all provide needed books or furnishings to the Library. Present parents are active in the Birthday Book Program, which places a book in the Library in honor of a child's birthday or some other notable occasion.
